Valencia is a perfect size city for discovering in under 4 hours. Consider taking one of these shore excursions to uncover the essential parts of the city.

An Active Shore Excursion In Valencia By Bike

Turia river bed converted into a park is the most underrated must-see place of Valencia. Make sure to pay a visit to this beautiful green paradise, which will make you forget you are in a bustling city.

Turia Gardens.

Guided bike tours in Valencia last for between 3 and 4 hours. No doubt, it’s a highly efficient way to see vast extensions of this gorgeous city in a short time.

Any guided bike tour in Valencia will most definitely take you through the largest urban park in Spain – Turia gardens and the Old Town.

Cycling in Valencia works very well – the city authorities have been working on creating lots of bike lanes lately. And with the city’s bike rental system and multiple bike rental shops you can easily discover Valencia by bike on your own, too!

There are quite a few bike tours offered by tourist companies in Valencia – choose one that works best for you!

Day Time Market & City Walking Tour In Valencia

On my day time tour you will discover Valencia's Old Town and traditional foods and drinks.

Valencia’s Central Market.

If you are looking for day time shore excursions to get a real taste of Valencia in under 4 hours, why not join my walking market & city tour?

This tour allows you to explore the most authentic and traditional local foods, see the iconic landmarks as well as interesting nooks and crannies of the Old Town.

My day time walking tour starts at 10.45 am by the Central Market and takes you straight to breakfast with a delicious local coffee… Followed by multiple tastings of traditional foods and drinks at this foodies’ mecca!

After a relaxing walk around the must-see sites we sit down at a family-run tavern for a tasting of the top Iberian ham made of free range pigs! Accompanied by a glass of refreshing local wine.

I only serve the top 100% Iberian acorn fed ham on my tours!

Iberian ham “pata negra” and a glass of exclusively Valencian wine.

A short walk later we will sit down for a paella valenciana lunch. The paella is served in a conservative restaurant that respects the traditional paella recipe and only uses the best ingredients! So rest assured you will eat a delicious authentic paella on this tour.

The tour lasts for 3.5 hours and includes breakfast, lunch and a cultural tour of the Old Town! I keep the groups really small – 6 pax maximum. Join me!

Lake Albufera Shore Excursions

Sunset at Albufera Lake are simply mind-blowing. You definitely must see this place on your first time trip to Valencia!

One of the most relaxing shore excursions is a visit to Lake Albufera.

Valencia’s Tourism Agency offers a few tours to Lake Albufera. You get to Albufera by bus that departs from Plaza de la Reina, where a boat ride awaits in a zen setting.

Lake Albufera is home to many water birds and is the place where paella was born. So, no doubt, this is a great place to try the authentic Valencian paella for the first time! Good news is the tour includes a paella lunch.

I hope you feel inspired to book one of these shore excursions to discover the most beautiful parts and tastes during your visit in Valencia!
