You are planning to visit Valencia in March & not sure where to stay during Las Fallas? Not all areas in the city are suitable for accommodation during this locally loved crazy festival! Make sure to book in advance, as hotels get booked out quickly. In this post you will find tips on where to stay during Las Fallas.

Travel tips for Las Fallas

Valencia during Las Fallas makes quite an impression: you will probably either love it or hate it!

This festival is both colour-filled, beautiful and fun and very loud, crowded and audacious. Depending on what you are looking for – partying or tranquility, make sure to look into where to stay during Las Fallas.

Think twice before renting a car. During Las Fallas most roads start to close down gradually around March 10th. In some areas the huge fallas compositions are located every couple of blocks away from each other.

The metro system and walking are your best bets from March 10th until March 19th. Obviously, comfortable footwear and clothes are a wise choice for Las Fallas.

During the last days of the celebrations (March 15th though 19th) make sure to book your lunch and dinner in advance, if possible. The city gets crazy busy!

Did you know that it's not easy to decide where to stay during Las Fallas. You need to know if you want to join in on the festivity or you want to stay in a calmer area!

Best hotels where to stay during Las Fallas

1. Want to stay in the epicentre of the craze and noise

Millions of people visit Las Fallas, so make sure to plan well your trip to Valencia. Look for the areas marked in red on the city map at the bottom of this post.  That is where all the action is going to take place.

Here is a list of some of the nicest hotels in this area:

Caro Hotel  *****

The nicest boutique hotel in town in my opinion, as it’s a mixture of modern and ancient (check out the museum-worthy pieces housed at this hotel in this post).

Caro Hotel is located in the Old Town and allows for easy access to the main attractions and Las Fallas events. It’s also home to a great romantic restaurant “Sucede“!

Address: Carrer de l’Almirall, 14, 46003 València | See on Google Maps

Hotel Palau de la Mar  *****

A nice modern hotel located south of the Old Town, but still within a walking distance to all the major sights. From here you can also easily visit Ruzafa neighbourhood, where some of the most intense street partying takes places during the last days of Las Fallas.

Address: Avinguda de Navarro Reverter, 14, 46004 València | See in Google Maps

The Westin Valencia *****

A top hotel in Valencia, located within a walking distance to the Old Town.

NOTE: there are some fireworks events that take place in the former river-bed not far from the hotel. The show starts around midnight on March 15, 16, 17 and 18.

Address: Carrer d’Amadeu de Savoia, 16, 46010 València | See in Google Maps

Vincci Mercat ****

Located near the Central Market, staying at this hotel during Las Fallas will also allow you to enjoy the best of Las Fallas. It’s just a short walk to Plaza del Ayuntamiento, which is where the daily firecrackers show takes place at 2 pm during the festival.

Address: Carrer de la Llanterna, 31, 46001 València | See on Google Maps

One Shot Reina Victoria ****

The oldest hotel in Valencia went a complete renovation in 2015 and has the most centric location (a few steps from Plaza de Ayuntamiento).

Address: Carrer de les Barques, 4, 46002 València | See on Google Maps

Ruzafa is one of the places where to stay during Las Fallas, but be aware that it's one of the major party hubs during Las Fallas!

Look for the areas marked in green on the city map below. Here are some of the nicest hotels you can stay at in Valencia when you want to avoid the craziness of Las Fallas:

Las Arenas Balneario Hotel *****

The most prestigious hotel in Valencia – located on the beautiful beach of Malvarrosa, this hotel is designed in neoclassical style. It boasts the best spa in town. The downside is that it is quite far from the city centre.

Address: Calle Eugenia Viñes, 22-24, 46011 Valencia | See on Google Maps

SH Valencia Palace *****

Located within a walking distance from the Old Town, this hotel has a perfect location for Las Fallas.

This 4-star hotel, although located on the outskirts of the city, is still within easy access to all Fallas events by metro.

Another hotel on the edge of Valencia, just across the above mentioned Sercotel.
